I didn't have an answer to this today.
I'm sure I could look this up, but this is easier.

I was asked, if I'm fishing legitimately with my bass permit and say I only get 4 fish ( all over 34 inches ). I plan on giving the fish away. Are the fish "commercially " caught and should the weight of the fish be accountable to the hard cap ? Or is the cap applicable only to sold fish ?

You can't have any Rec fish while commercial fishing.

Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device There is actually a disposition code for personal consumption on the trip reporting sheet, and anytime a catch is made and retained commercially it has to be reported either way.
