Herring??????

I had a tough time getting herring at the Harwich run this weekend. I also heard it was spotty in Bourne. My question is this: What do people think? Are they late? Are they not coming at all? Should I be bothering to lugg my live well to the Cape every weekend from Holyoke? I'm very interested in hearing peoples views. I spent as much time trying to get herring as I did trying to fish.

seals + plovers =

herring season is almost over, not beginning...

watertown may have fish for a little bit but i would expect the other runs to be pretty thin by this weekend...

This is nearer the end of the run. But I don't think it was much of a run this year!!
At least here on the Cape. I have a run in a out of the way spot and I have not seen a herrin in it yet! I have been to Harwich a few different times, and they were there but not like years past??
It has been a slim year.
Same goes for the Mac's they came and went over nite?? I guess because they got a late start they decided to just run rt by us.
