Cabelas CS, Awesome

Not sure if anyone else has had to use their returns customer service before but they were awesome to me.

My ultra lights are splitting at the sole and inside seam, after one season. Well actually 5 months.

Sent an email, response within an hour, didn't have the info they needed so I called, spoke with a nice woman, she took care of it and apologized for the problem.

New boots shipped today, return label and paid shipping back to cabelas.

Sweet deal and was very impressed with their customer service

i've bought quite a bit of stuff with them over the years chef, and have always had high praises for them. i think they've stepped up their game to compete with bean's policy. it's too bad their nearest store is in maine, or conn., because i think their quality is a little better than bass pro shops.

That is good to know. Mine are slowly falling apart. I noticed it sunday quite a bit. They are a year old now.

jury is still out on this go around with them on waders and a gortex guide jacket/ bib that shat the bed after not much use.....
They USED to be awesome with returns and quailty product, but now everything made in China and no last.....
as for those same boots, I quit on them 3 yrs ago when i had 2 pairs of them disintegrate after 1 month of use each and they refused to replace them as they said it was "normal wear and tear"
BS - F that. They said I used them more in one month than most people use them in 2 yrs, so they considered it "normal wear and tear". Refused to replace them. I guess they are built to only last so many uses......should come with a punch card and after so many uses they are set to self destruct......
Good for you that they came thru for you.......

I think in todays day and age where everything is made in China its easier for a company to offer replacements. It probably costs Cabelas 15-25 bucks to make a pair of the boots. They sell them for around 70 so they are still ahead for 1,2,3 returns.

Everything is better on the rocks.

I've always had great experiences with their customer service.

Rob - I think you are correct, and even if they take a loss, they make it up in a lot of other very highly priced products where I''m sure the margins are high!
Plus, losing a customer is that type of business is really bad for them...
I have a buddy that's an avid hunter, prob spends upwards of $1000 a year there easily.
