ugly weather
weather looks bad for the next few days , i'm sure the water will be crapped up for a while . i hope it clears up by next week as i am on my spring fishing vacation , which the weather gods have not been overly kind to me the last few years .

That was a worm looking for some warmth!

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

here are pictures of the main /gas dock pier @ Bridge marina in Salibury taken at 11:00 last night... the gang ways you see in the pictures are suposed to go DOWN to the docks...
the distant picture is of the down river docks and pier.. once agian.. the aluminum gangway is supposed to go DOWN to the docks.. the flooded parking lot is where the fish tale diner stands...

For Chris sake it's New England. Fishing has been great so no complaints here. I'd rather be wet and cold and catching fish than warm and dry and putting up with nitwits. This weather keeps the googans home.

Unfortunately we are stuck in a winter weather pattern, until the NAO goes positive.

On the plus side, the water temps have stabilized. All the talk about 80 degree temps in CC Bay is over.

You don't get the full picture.... it's not a little rain or a little wind.. it's enourmous tides that you obviously have no clue about.. .. it's about logs.. broken docks... trees, mud, weed and marsh thatch making fishing a river a hazzard to navagate and a waste of time to fish.. as they have cleared out until the water clears up.. it's about 15' waves making one of the most dangerous inlets on the east coast inpassable.. ..so before you put up a "for Chris sake it's new england " post.. just think for a minute that not EVERYONE lives somewhre where they can fish in any kind of weather...most of us would if we could...we're not complaining.. we are stating fact!

I tried to fish tonight, but there is still WAAAYYYY too much crap in the water. ...and I'm not talking weeds.
I called it quits early after I "bumped" my third telephone pole sized log. If my hull was fiberglass, I never would have tried to fish tonight.
Here is just a small taste of what is lurking around in the dark in the Merrrimuck right now...

Ya, I have my nephew keeping a lookout when we run but you are right, especially in the coves and upper Bay. Lots of trees, logs, boards and assorted junk. One time Joe and I almost ran into a 3/4 sunk 8' pram after a big tide.
