First time going to to Peaked Hill Bar
Hi Guys. If the weather holds, I am going to take my first run from Sandwich to P-Town and then around to Peaked Hill. Bet boating Vineyard and Nantucket Sound for years, but any tips on the run from Sandwich to PTown would be welcomed.

Bill you will get beat up pretty good with the winds expecially when they go against the tide on your trips out and back. If you are really stuck on going go early before sunup on Sat and stick with the inner cape, fishing ledge is as ar as you probaly want to go, although the tuna bite has really been on the outside where the seas will rough you up this weekend. Head back in before noon. Done those winds and seas before not fun. Better yet stay home save gas for nicer enjoyable day launch in Harwich go east of Chatham, plenty of tuna time left

Thanks guys. Yeah just checked the marine forecast and wave predictions, it is not heading in a positive direction. Time to look for at "Plan B"

What size boat do you have? I have made the trip from scituate (22+ miles) in my old 18' CC a bunch of times. Just need to pick the days, this weekend may not be a good choice.
stay away from N/NE/NW winds and you should be OK...

26 Footer, we decided to error on the side of caution, and went clamming instead. We had a blast too, dug about 150.

Ive been out of Sandwich/Plymouth and Green harbor in my 18', pick weather patterns with 'days' of high pressure system...that usually means that ccbay is 1'or less and the SW corner of Stellwagon is 2-3 and winds are southerly .....as you know the forecast isn't always accurate. 25miles is long ride at 23mph,,so headed home in rough water can take hours.
