Any penn torque users?
Anyone using one in the surf?
Need another option for wetsuiting.
My newest vs seized up after 3 months, one of zees leaks like sieve.
Heard great things about thee customer sevice, not that I want to have to use it, but good to know.
Need some real world feedback.

I know a dink master that has had his anti-reverse fail twice within the same year. CS has been excellent, however. Other than that, it has treated him well. In fact, he seems to fish it more than his VS. It's the bail-less model.

Yes i have had the anti-reverse fail twice, Penn replaced the drive plate and a few bearings all was well until this morning when it acted up again. Will be sending out tomorrow for repairs, the CS is fantastic when sent out the first time got it back within a week. I absolutely love the reel, it is a TRQ 5 bail-less, got it paired with a 10 ft Century Stealth and Sufix 832 30# braid. It has become the ultimate plugging set up. I have landed fish over 30# with no problems at all. Luckily I have a VS 250 to fall back on. Can't wait to get it back. Hope this helps.

You ABSOLUTELY love your brand new expensive reel that has failed you twice and need to use your back up? Just admit that you feel like you have been robbed and get it over with.

I'll answer cuz he posts less often than I do - which is rare enough. He does love how it performs when it's not broken. Also, he doesn't feel robbed as he won it in Z's Striperthon catch and release picture contest a couple years back. It really should be mine, but we won't go there...
