Looking for opinions as when you think the fall migration is over in Massachusetts?

Just a general date & location please! No spacific secret's.

i got my last striper of 2012 on December 7th an dmy last blue on the 14th of december.

i think most people give up too early, most people call it quits by Thanksgiving and miss out on some quality fishing.

They are around through December and also some good blitzes that do0n't make the news. They just get fewer and further between and the quality opportunities go out the window.

I'll probably START my fall run in December

I've caught bass( large) on Plum Island ( Mass.) as late as the Thanksgiving day weekend.. but most season it's over around here by Halloween.. I know several spots where I can catch bass all winter on my home river...but.. the simple truth is, as I get older ( and the aches and pains mount) by the time my boat needs to be off the dock. I've had enough..... I don't need to travel to catch a few more fish... summer's are good here..I prefer to get the fall chores done while weather is civil....gone are the days of coveing the boat while the deck is iced over and snow flakes fill the air.. I'll leave that to the younger crowd and those that just didn't get enough during the summer...I's over when i say it's over.. and for 2012.. for me .. It's over.

for the northshore, its over by Halloween most years. Earlier for any type of consistant fishing. There's always the opportunity to get them after that, but the odds are pretty low and at some point you have to decide if its worth the effort. lot of fish around right now though.

Canal has gotten pretty quiet. I had one good fish Thursday night and a couple of rats since then. It's over for me in the Ditch. It's a 180 mile R/T and just too far for a couple of rats.

SoCo from now until we go to the Block.

No boat, back in the suds.

I'll call it quitin time 2nd week of November at the canal and maybe make one or two RI trips, then aftah that,it's time to hit the weights, watch football, service the reels then inside projects...

Bottom line for me is early November.

Live bait sharp hooks and timing is all you need
