news story that was a set for a good punchline...

Story is real, and not funny in its own rights, but the wording could have been different.

"Hunter found dead in Douglas woods."

A hunter was shot to death in the woods of Douglas.

The name of the deceased has not yet been released. A group of other hunters found him on a dirt road off of West Street Monday morning.

District Attorney Joe Early's office says the death does not appear to be suspicious.

Unless he took his own life, and there was no one confessing to the shooting, how can they say it didn't appear to be suspicious?

The only other option would be it being a case of an accidental self inflicted wound that caused the death?

Sorry, but I couldn't help thinking of a good punch line that would hint at the authorities claiming that it was a case of animal revenge (deer giving a little payback), or a play on the constitution's "right to bear arms (or arm bears?)

In any case it is a tragedy.
