One is in my future. I am thinking cube, but would consider the three tube. Appreciate feedback on drawbacks to the cube and why I might prefer the three tube.

I own both, and they have there place.

The 3 tube is my everyday wetsuit bag, mine has the attached front pouch. Fits plenty of plugs, tubes are big enough to hold 4 plugs each, or a big GRS and some smaller plugs next to them.

The cube is great, nice for when you need more plugs, like the ditch or cutty. The nice thing about the cube is it takes up little room, same length as the 3 tube. Mine has the removable front pouch which I've never taken off, i use it for riggies or soft plastics.

I use my 3 tube for everyday and the cube is now my ditch bag, I got a two tube for wetsuiting too.

Either way you can't go wrong.

Tom is a stand up guy and makes a bullet proof bag.

I too own them both. The 3-tube sees nearly all the duty when I am wetsuiting while the cube comes out when eeling or working a breachway where I need a few extra spots for jigs. The eel jug option for the cube is a great idea and has all but eliminated my use of a naked jug over the shoulder (I either eel or plug, seldom both). My 3-tube is from the pre-pouch days and is barebones but does exactly what I need it to do and aside form being a little dirty looks as good as it did the day I bought it 3 seasons ago.

What applications do you primarily plan to use the bag as that would be my deciding factor between the two.

I want it as an everyday bag. Most of my fishing I am dry or wading. Wetsuiting accounts for maybe 15% of my trips. I generally put on my belt a two tube bag for plugs and a pouch with riggies for wetsuiting . Sounds like the cube is it.

I have a 4 tube and a 2 tube Commando. I don't have the cube yet, but the 4 tube holds more than you can imagine it's my main canal bag and I carry way too many plugs. I use the two tube in the surf,or hiking over rocks like Cutty. Neither of them have the jig slots in them as any jigs Ill carry fit great in the front pouch or hang off the tubes for me. Removing the jig slots allows for alot more plugs to fit in.

For me the three tube is the perfect every day plug bag. You can fit more plugs and jigs in the bag than you are likely to throw in a night but it’s still small and compact enough not to wear you down. I haven’t had the opportunity to fish the cube but I really don’t see myself needing any more room for plugs over the three tube bag. I am probably going to pick up a two tube bag for the nights when I only need to take a handful of plugs.

I love my three tube. I have the one with the removable front pouch. I've never needed more space, in fact I usually find myself loading it up and then pulling a few plugs out so my shoulder doesn't fall off. Between the main compartment and the front pouch, if I can't fit it, I didn't need it.

I also fish the 3 tube with removable pouch. Awesome product made to withstand anything you could ever throw at it. I think the best feature is the front pouch I keep my riggies and skinned plugs inside the pouch in the freezer so I just grab and go.

I wear a 2-tube on my belt with no shoulder strap. the 3 tube or cube could start to get a bit heavy to wear on your belt alone when fully loaded with plugs, but the nice thing is all the bags have belt loops AND a removable shoulder strap... so try both methods and see which you prefer.
