Good Laugh.....

Well as ashamed to admit it I thought you could use a good laugh at my own expense...
with all the talk of rod building and the previous post a while back about cleaning reels gave me inspiration to tacle one of my reels for a good cleaning! Well you guess it...it came apart easy and I cleaned 'er up real good and started to put it back together when those little springs started going every which way but loose!
I just wanted to thank you for giving me the courage to make as mess of it all and then have to hand it over to the hubby to fix (the LAST thing I wanted to do ) I feel better about myself now......

Would have been worth a covert trip to one of the tackle shops to get it reassembled rather than admit defeat to the husband.

Jenn, you must be DEVIOUS. You've shown hints of it in the past. Only ham up to him if it is to your advantage to do so... I like Salthearts idea to slip it to the tackle shop...

Wait until you start hiding equipment from the other half. One word of advice about hiding equipment, be sure to fish it a few times so it doesn't look new right out of the box. A couple battle scars are like camoflauge BDUs on a reel...

Well I probably would have tried to hide it but unfortunately he had already witnessed it so that was out of the question

Now about hiding the tackle and such.....well as a matter of fact I have already caught myself doing that!!!! Just yesterday I picked up some new line and didnt want him to know that I had "bought more stuff" so I hid it in my purse and had plans to sneak it in with the rest of the "stuff" ....well wouldnt you know it he went to put something in my purse for me and saw the darn thing!!!!! "you bought MORE line?????!?" he say...I say yyyyyeeeeeaaaahhhhhhh.........
