Thanks Chuck Woolery!!!

I couldn't make it to the salt this weekend, so stayed local and fished the small pond behind my house last night. A few years ago my neighbor gave me this jointed popper that Chuck Woolery is pushing called the Moto Chug. It has a pull string. When you impart action, the tail end vibrates. I never used it and totally forgot I had it. I was going through my gear and found it the other day and said what the heck, I'll throw it my bag. After getting snagged using a senko, and breaking off, I decided to give it a try. I got immediate results! I landed 3 bass between 2 and 4 pounds. The wife gave me a pass last night and I went right to the Chuck special. Landed a 2#er on my second cast. Moved to a new spot made a cast and boom!!!! Line starts peeling, water splashing everywhere, I'm psyched. I start gaining on it, turns out I have a baby beaver on. I was grabbing my snips to cut the line, and the thing spit the lure. I got it back with minimal damage and decided to go to the other side of the pond. Once there, I landed my PB LMB on my first cast. At the very end of my retieve, about two feet from my feet, the water exploded. At first I thought I caught another beaver. After a few seconds I had a 23" bass at my feet. My scale might be broken but it only weighed a tad over 6#. The thing looked huge though and I was psyched. After that the hicks that live up in the woods started shooting shot guns off like it was the 4th of July and I decided to pack it in. Thanks Chuck Woolery!!! (note, the lures aren't productive during the day at all. I am not a affiliate of Chuck either.)

Very cool story. Chuck is a very avid fisherman himself, so I'm not surprised the lure worked.

This thing really works. And held up to a beaver or what I like to call the seal of the ponds.

Is it mechanical? You pull a string to make it rattle or something?

Yes. It rattles and swims when you give it a chug and then pause.
