prop talk

I think it's time for a new prop, what are the pros/cons of going to a 4 blade as opposed to the 3 blade im using now of the yami 250

my 1st wife didn't like me fishing so much

If you have a heavy load on the boat the 4 blade is the way to go.

Get a mercury revolution 4 prop.
just not sure you want a 17 or 19.
All depends on rpms.
19 you may not reach max rpms.
Your center console is a bit lighter than a sport cabin so a 19 could be fine.

Try prop gods. Ken knows props. I went to a four blade SS from a 3 blade SS.

I can plane at a lower speed, less bowlift, and only lost MAYBE 1MPH at WOT.

Greater low end torque. Not much to gain in speed though. We use 4 blades on the Towboats for that reason.
