Hung Over Dude
Any remedies for fishin hang overs???
Tuesday sure was a hot one. Workin in the hot sun and humid conditions sure can take alot out of ya. I had plans that evening to do some fishin and I wasn't about to break'um. The following day was time to pay the piper, pay I did. I can't remember the last time I was that sick at work(it was like a military hang over) Poop'in in the woods and puking on customer's fronts lawns isn't good for the bussiness let me tell ya. I drank lots of water tuesday night and still, it wasn't enough. I thought I was gettin smarter as I got older, guess not. In my postion its fish during the work week or once during the week-end..... and I ain't never fished once a week. Maybe I should save my sleepless nights for the fall.
Anybody have any ideas to combat this type of mental illness??

drink some margaritas or some kind of ladies' drinks. it's cool and it settles ur mind and system. and sleep.
seriously, like what mightymouse said, drink some water ahead of time. and also u could drink water before fishing. did u eat something? u shld add some fruits or fruit juices in ur system. must be supercool or supercold.
and did u wear a hat and a polarized glasses?

Tony,
Same thing happened to Mikey's girl on the way back from the Cape last Sunday. They had to stop five times so she could do the old, well, you know.
They almost ended up at the casa de Ricky, I'm half-way back to western mass, she was so bad.
Same thing happens like once a year to me; as I spend most of my working life in 120+ degree enviroments. I rarely find when I get this sick, it has anything to do with drinking, usually It's heat and lack of sleep combined.
Mikey's girl doesen't even really drink.
That stuff is like a military hangover though, hits you like a frag grenade, in more ways than one.
Thank God for Baby Wipes!!!
Later,
Rick

You have to force yourself to drink WATER ahead of time and during fishing.

I'm diabetic, so I pretty much HAVE to carry extra food with me. Driving back from a long night of fishing is NOT the time to discover that you should have packed one more soda can or granola bar. It also makes it easy to sneak in some extra water, too Usually, because of these factors, I'm the last to have a problem, but we've all bonked because of a lack of sleep/water/food.

desert tactics
having lived in the desert for a number of years we used to freeze a milk carton or water jug half full of water in the freezer until it froze completely then in the morning you fill it with water and place it in a brown paper bag which blocks the sun and can be dunked for evaporational cooling as the bag stops the greenhouse effect. Secondly we wore full length white long sleave shirts that you could also dunk in the water for instant cooling off. Also it was a good idea to take the siesta 12-2 during the hottest part of the day to rest up for the cooler parts.
