Decent entry level boat for sale

This 1983 Seaway 19 was just brought in to my friend's Boat Shop for tune up. Being offered for $5000.00 with trailer. Heavily built. No electronics but reasonably priced for inshore fishing. Thought I would let the board know....

Yes. Appears to be solid. Could be fished as is this season and then dive into winter project to dress her up.....

Ok I think i'm a few years away from considering a boat (but my new locale seems more conducive to boats than yaks so who knows) but this would scare the hell out of me as a total newb to boats! looks ancient!educate me on how this chit works..

you mean "gateway" boat

a habit-forming boat that, while not itself addictive, may lead to the use of other addictive boats. "many believe that starter boats are gateway boats that increase the risk of subsequent involvement with larger and more expensive boats"
