There is something about holding up your second sixty pound fish that lends a large degree of credibility to an angler.... don’t cha think?
Who knows...maybe with the rise of more high end products, like the ones used by Iron Mike, SS will decide that there is enough revenue in surfcasting advertising to merit running surf stories again.
From what I hear, on Long Island people are spending big bucks on surfcasting gear, campers, etc.

You mean the VS 400? The spool is the size of a bulk spool of 20lb big game....
It's at the Saltwater Edge in a display case...stop by and turn the handle, quite a peice of machine work.

did you notice how the fisherman blocked out the reel?
I wonder if they owe that mag $$$??

the full moon looks orange sometimes when it rises because the light has to pass through more of the atmosphere then when the moon is higher in the sky. the blue light waves scatter but the red light waves pass through...... if you were wondering.
