season for BSB in Buzzards Bay?

My 10 year old and I will have a free day on June 16. Thinking of taking him fishing for sea bass in Buzzards Bay. Is that way past peak for the spring run?

sooner better but you should have plenty of action

I was getting them last year all thru the season but the truly big ones (over 5 lbs) seemed to move on not to long after the 4th of July.
