Cool Mung Report

My Fishing partner and I fished the Race yesterday afternoon and evening until about 9:00. We started out on the back side at the cut, I didn't like the looks of the cut so we stopped there and started to fish. We plugged and chunked, the mung was sparse and did not bother us, we were using top water plugs and sub surface lures, but chunking was a real nuisance. We moved to several more spots looking for clean water but found it to be the same as well. So we decided to move to the front beach and found it to be free of mung, which made us glad that we made the move. We worked our way up to the Lighthouse and still found the water to be mung free. I avoided the skunk by getting one blue fish just before leaving but my partner did not do as well.

It was a beautiful night to be there, the weather was mild, there was an off shore breeze which kept the biting insects off of us, the sunset was great. My friend and I both agree that even though the fish did not cooperate it was better being there enjoying nature than sitting at home watching tv.

Tight lines to Y'all,

I'll be up there tonight, thanks for the report. I want to get one of those no mung shirts (with the funny definition on the back) from John at Gone Fishin.
