caught a biggen today

well a big striper just happend to take my plug today, 2oz pencel popper and off she went. 40" striper from good old terra firma bent front treble too, got it beached and spent longer then i would like to remove hook. quick meas. and got her back in. lots of big blues too, i think i try this all again monday. camera already in plug bag, used some good info on fishing through the seaweed that helped cause at spots it was thick.

DCF, how about sharing the info on how to fish through heavy weed. Congratulations on a nice fish from shore.

thanks guys, it sure was fun. i have one busted abu spinning reel and one kick around okuma that croaked, best time i ever had busting reels. just put line on the nautil reel i got in march, time to test that one too. the seaweed is fishable i found spots were it was close to shore and i just threw over it, and there were breaks in it if you walked a little. see ya out there
