Couple of additions---often, in yacht racing, if you call that a sport, the winner isn't known until corrected times are posted long after the boats finish.

Technically speaking, reaching first on an error isn't getting there via a hit.

Heres a riddle for you:

The question is... Who am I speaking about in this riddle.

Brothers and sisters, I have none... but his father's father is my father's son.

Who am I speaking of ?

the first step to true wisdom

you are his grandfather.

Your fathers son is you.
you have no brothers or sisters.
"His" fathers, father = your fathers son = you.

I have to agree that you are speaking about yourself.
If you want a name of someone or something we can change to that angle.

Hmmmm, Bliz, I came up with the same thing as Hooked (he beat me by one minute)

If the person in question was your son, then his father is you, and his father's father is his grandad (your father), and you are your father's son.

His (your son, the person in question) Father's (you) Father (your dad) in my Father's son (you)......

Um, never mind, that don't work either.....

Damn, and I KNOW this one......

EXCELLENT! and CORRECT!...

"his" is the "he" of whom I am speaking, so if I'm "his" grandfather... "he" is my grandson!

Great job MikeTlive!
