I have heard in the past that some Home Depot’s has some thin starboard.

Agree with beamie. Homies has that stuff,, May not be exactly "starboard" but 1/2 & 3/8 inch 4x8 sheets of Azec type board.
I used it on a few jobs for trim, cheaper than buying separate precut pcs...

Mike, they stock it here, not sure what thickness,,,
https://premiumply.com/plywood/marine/
I’m beginning to think PVC is a better choice for marine work... starboard is screw only, there really isn’t any reliable glue process that I’ve seen,,, PVC will cement and machines as easy if not more so...
The tough part is paying for this stuff.... . IMO

Glue joints with pvc are incredibly stong.....and water proof....actually fuses pieces together.
i have built dozens of exterior projects with it... signs ..lampposts.
Holds paint incredibly well or just leave unpainted.
Got some free samples lying around if you want to try it out.

I've found the cheapest place to buy small pieces is off ebay if you can wait a bit. Big venders of it sell off the cutoffs there.
