Being in the bullseye I suspect hoping power doesn’t go out early and moving a ton of snow.

Mailing mooring permit that is due Feb 1st....

Check over my snowblower, check fuel supply and oil, broker a deal to buy my old blower back and sell to my client/dentist. Check in with kids. Charge 18V batteries for flashlights. Hope power doesn't go out. Be ready for Sunday clean up before football.

snow prep is complete. Fire wood is secure, Plow is on the wheeler, snow blower is ready to go, generator has been run/tested, chainsaws at the ready.. I'm ready for war and hope it doesn't happen.. everyone's lost their minds and this storm hasn't formed yet.
going to pre storm fish for crappie until mid night or so..
Hunker down tomorrow bottle and brew..maybe watch a few old "cowboy" movies.

clean up the mess Sunday and cook a nice venison stew.

A good run is better than a bad stand!

Drink Fox Farm beers and watch it snow. That's my plan and I am sticking to it! (then shovel a lot and watch football).

Wheel out the remaining Y2K supplies . Flashlights. Beef Stew on the stove. H2O ready. Whiskey ready. If power goes out, hopefully gas will not. Should be good. 4wd ready to go if anyone needs help.
Should be fun, but not as fun as the Bliz of 78 in Providence

We have Winter Storm Valtteri enroute, forecast to bring 40 cm. Roughly 16" if I remember the conversion.

That would be the most snow in a single storm in the 5 winters that I've lived here.

Last time I had a storm anything like this we had 80 feet of driveway under 3-4 feet of drift. Front yard you could still see grass. Fortunately the neighbor has a bucket loader. My 30" Airens Platinum SHO can throw a lot but not that.

All my elderly neighbors are begging me to shovel them out..
They call me sonny. Yeah right 65 yr old kid.
Said they can’t find any one to do it.
I’m telling them spring is just around the corner, besides you bought all the bread and milk.
Who the hell drinks milk now ?
Bourbon is so much better.

May fortune favor the foolish....

Back Beach and I were going to the fishing show in Boxboro but that out. Mr. front loader and I will be moving snow all day.

It's kinda funny. I have a bunch of "old people" on our road and they all ask me to help the elderly. What the hell am I at 74.5?

No boat, back in the suds.

Had planned to leave this morning and drive up to my Cape house for a few weeks. Guess I'll try again Tues or Wed if the power's on.

Still can see my grass, but I have five foot drifts that will be some fun to move. Drift between the cars is up to the roof.

Well, this storm did not disappoint... and looks to continue to pound snow here into the 8pm hour... Did the prep and vehicle positioning yesterday. Very happy to have power on and not have to break out a chainsaw. Or go out the door for that matter. Fortunate, but know it is still serious out there. Wind is going to continue into the morning... Fire up the Ariens in the daylight, but still going to be cold. No idea of an accurate measurement, but we got plenty. If TV says we are getting 24+ I can't argue with that.
