i'll be carving mine next week~~~
they'll be my first, also.

i am thinking of using those cut-out decals
that you can p/up at most B&T's. hope this helps.

Perhaps, the finest example of a fish pumpkin ever carved.

I ain't that talented in pumpkin carving: 2 eyes, noise and mouth is about all I can handle (depends on the number of Scotches).

If someone can figure out how to fix it so when yiu carve the edges everything doesn't fall out it would work perfectly.

just carve only thru the skin on the edges, leave some meat behind it, it will shine light thru some if it's thin enough as long as you remove skin I would think.

you print it out, then either

1) take an exacto knife and cut out the pattern (only so far that it stays intact) which i recommend, then with a sharpie mark the pattern and place "X's" on the parts you will remove.

or

2) take the print, tape it to the pumpkin or plastic pumpkin found in the craft stores and with a pin or wire brad, poke dots in to use as a template when you carve, you connect the dots! (this gets tricky)

Some old names in this thread..... Where did everyone go?
