SB Tourney

Got an e-mail from Don at Weekapaug Bait & Tackle. The shop is going to donate a custom 10 foot spinning rod for the tournament. John Haberik is donating some Hab's lures to the tourney as well - maybe he'll ship some Pink Needlfish, hehehe ;D

PINK NEEDLES! , I'll take 6 of each 1 1/2 oz and 2 oz. He really has pink needles? I'll give them a try, probably won't catch anything on them I haven't seen any pink needles before, maybe Don has them at his shop?

That's great news John

Very nice of DonM and JHabs to contribute to the tourney. Thank you.

I think we better start deciding when and where and what prizes for what , pretty soon John. Might be something to ponder over a six pack!

i dont think john makes pink ones yet , I havent seen any of his in pink . the surfcaster has white with pink stripe and i believe a light pink colored one . I used to get pink ones some years ago but that company has gone out the way of the wind . yes a 1/2 of each would be in order .
sorry for getting your hopes up !

Uh guys, I'm assuming that he still makes them as I've got 2 shortys and a regular hot pink, the pride of P-Town, needlefish... And they can be killer at times....

SB Tourney/Habs Pink Needlefish

Just to let all of you know...we have assorted sizes of Habs Needlefish in pink, eel, purple/black and yellow. We also have various 5/8oz poppers, some 1oz pink Squid and Perfect Poppers. I'll try to post some pictures by the end of the week.

We are not an e-commerce site, but I will gladly ship these plugs to the Striped-Bass members(maybe we can even add the needlefish as a special on the sponsors' board, discounted of course).

Good beer. Isn't that redundant?

We should get a tourney going for some time during the first 3 weeks of June! Good fishing just about everywhere by then.

How bout a tourney brainstorm session next monday night John? I can drive down to Warwick.

Hmmm - Sounds like a plan! I'll be sure to have some good beer on hand. Any prefferences? I'm currently sotcked with Sam Adams Boston Ale - but hope to have a little Harpoon Winter Warmer too, ;D ... 'Course, I drink so much beer these days, a 12 pack usually lasts a couple months.... Howzabout weekend of June 9? I'm on vactation that week and will be able to scout a bit???

OK John , I got Monday after work on the schedule.

I got a feelingwe'll have more than enough better brews available!

June 9 is good depending on where. In fact its a near perfect Canal weekend. Near perfect because that is near the full moon weekend. That big light may or may not be a problem depending on the cloud cover but the current changes are perfect that weekend. That's just one area. We can check tide charts for other areas too and maybe plan the tourney season. I guess that's what we need to discuss Monday.
