Anyone fishing?
Fished the drop last night from Narrow River to Quonny. Shad at Great Island Bridge, 1 small bass in back at C-Town and nothin' at Quonny.

38 degrees in the wetsuit last night for 1 schoolie. Good times.

Still fish in Long Island Sound. Bait is thinning out but still seeing pockets of decent activity as of a few days ago. Will be looking this weekend. Dawn and dusk has been fairly productive the last two weeks.

Both boats hauled.
Saw some shad and schoolies working surfing this morning at dawn.
Water is still warm, but it had the super clear winter look to it today....

Was gorgeous out there this morning, took a co-worker out and he managed his PB...just shy of 25" - nice slob, was really happy for him....I might get another day or two in before I'm done and put another season behind me

My marina has a haul by date this week, so we yanked last week. Winterize tomorrow. G went to Florida today so his boat is at the yard waiting for a haul.

Pretty sure the next set of stripes I see this year will be on a candy-cane or on one of Got Stripers carvings! -
However, ...... ...4 players today....9 qts. of greenies ....forced to quit after using the last crab
Wind-was-honkin solid causing quite the slop (until the tide-change)...but non-stop action, loads of shortz, seabass, cunner....and of course, a bunch of fish in the box, water's still warm, lots of fish still hangin around . ..
....finding it so hard to pull the sheets over her head this season

Eels have been my ticket this fall. Going on the new moon but it has to warm up a bit, maybe Wednesday.

Glad you saw some choggies (cunner).
We were commenting last trip how they have been decimated by the influx of BSB ad scup. We used to catch them blackfish sized in the fall, and you would foul or hook a number of smalls. I used to put a hook in them and then flyline for Bluefish....
Now I find the small ones inside a BSB when I clean them!

4 stripes beached 2 nights ago, 11/12.
7 stripes beached last night. Everything was small.
Largest fish was 32". I was so desperate that I actually took a couple seconds to photo this last night 30"er who tried to eat an eel half as long as him.
Taking tonight off. It was cold, dark, lonely.
And I might be done up here. Next cast may be in NJ visiting some family over Thanksgiving.

Still some fish out front here in CT.
Couldn't sleep Friday night. Gave up around 4 am and looked at NOAA, which said 56 degrees and light SW. Went to a SW wind beach and sure enough there was a pile of bass waiting. Nothing big, but its late November... I'll take it gladly. Fizzled about half an hour after first light. Water felt warm for this time of year...

Good for you man. Congrats at this time of year. I'm really buried with the Holiday and some doctor stuff with Jeanne so I'm done.
