kind of funny how after people in the south couldnt get gas due to the gulf factories going offline that prices lower isnt it? you would think that with all the crying about how it was harder to impoert it these days it would have gone up around now (which would also allow those people to have had gas) but no... it goes down and down.. cause they know they cant get $5 a gallon out of people in a failing economy.

which just further proves theres no gas problems.. just a bunch of fat cats wanting to suck every dollar they can out of people. (thats kind of misleading because eventually the stocks will run out)

hoestly a world wide protest against gas prices woudl end it (well more like a strike) its a shame it will never happen though, cause everbody is a junky consumer. and they NEEEEED to go to work (also lining those pockets of fat cats) and they NEEEED to drive across the street..

it's a shame that the general public doesnt realize how much power they have. instead they bend to the will of those with more money than them. instead of just telling those people to shove it and and taking a stand.

i mean i understand that people have mouths to feed. so they fell the HAFTA go to work, making such a protest impossible. but if EVERYONE just didnt go, what the company gonna do? fire every one who makes less than a million dollars a year? NO! cause those are the only people who actually do anything. if every one just told them to sit on it. some thing would get done. its a shame people wont. and people arent willing to sacrifice a few to benefi the all these days... especially how things are going. if it keeps up, it wont even matter.

time to apply for a fire arms license.. cause if it aint the thieves its gonna be the (insert invading/nuclear attacking country here)

i suggest every one force their kids to watch mad max movies so they know how to properly retro-fit their vehicles. cause thwo of three outcomes arnt good. one is.. the economy stablizes (50% chance) and the other two (25% each) mean this country tunrs into no mans land. either war torn, or corporate torn. that is until we realize that in a universe filled with infinite possibilities we are not alone and have to unite.. but by then it will probably be too late..

p.s.- another drunken ramble.. ignore and continue on..

There he stands, draped in more equipment than a telephone lineman, trying to outwit an organism with a brain no bigger than a breadcrumb, and getting licked in the process. ~Paul O'Neil, 1965

Arrow

gasoline is down because oil is down.

oil is down sharply because

1) traders are correctly expecting a global economic slowdown to reduce demand, and therefore prices go down

2) the dollar has strengthened sharply in recent weeks, on the perceived (and flawed IMO) "flight to dollar quality" from other currencies that are becoming train wrecks. put more simply: everything's gonna suck, but the USD is going to suck less.

why is #2 important? commodity prices, expressed in u.s. dollars, are INVERSELY related to the value of the U.S. dollar.

Of course, people are going to continue to blame fat cats and Bush. blah blah blah.

Saw the same thing this morning.

I guess we can expect all the price increases and surcharges blamed on oil prices
having been $140 barrel to come back to the $90/barrel prices now.

When I head to Brockton, I'm sure to hit 'Prime' or 'Diamond', I don't know why, but they're always a good hunk of coin lower than rest.

$2.79, the lower the better, I don't often go much west of N. Quincy St., but I'll keep that station in mind if I do.

Funny that you don't here the media talking about low gas prices. But wait until they go up a penny and it's the end of the world.

I saw $2.99 at a new no-name today, the areas cheapest gas is the cumbies up the street and they were 3.07 today. There was a 4-5 car line at the 2.99 station as I rode by.

The sad part is it's the repainted Shell station that the Gaskells had for 50 something years and folded the towel this summer. I feel bad for both Davids there they were nice people. All in the little town of Mendon.

Amazing how happy we can be when gas drops to 2.++. I still think we are getting politicaly shafted at that price. Maybe the pols are just sotening us so that heating prices will be overlooked.
