how is this what "deregulation" looks like??
CNN
An explosion at the same fireworks market in 2005 injured a large number of people and caused extensive damage. Another fire tore through part of the market in 2006. Since then, officials have touted security improvements at the site and described it as a much safer place to buy and sell pyrotechnics than the clandestine workshops in some local homes.
After the 2005 blast, officials separated market stalls in an effort to prevent fires from spreading. Local government officials last week described it as "the safest market in Latin America." In a statement, Mexican Pyrotechnics Institute Director Juan Ignacio Rodarte Cordero said the market had "perfectly designed stalls with enough space so that there is no chain reaction fire in case of a spark."

Conservatism is not about leaving people behind. Conservatism is about empowering people to catch up, to give them tools at their disposal that make it possible for them to access all the hope, all the promise, all the opportunity that America offers. - Marco Rubio

Exactly!!??
We had a very similar industrial accident right here in Hanover, MA at the fireworks factory in 1967. That was regulated at the time.
You're telling us that government regulation will prevent this from ever happening?

you mean this accident
An explosion that rocked buildings like an earthquake erupted Wednesday at a munitions plant making antipersonnel mines for combat use in Vietnam. 1 death HOWARD CHUTE, 20 Accidents do happen
not really the same as a public space ( market) killing 32 after it was fixed after the same thing in 2005 as scottw posted

People often die when no one is putting profit before safety. We live in an industrialized world, there will be accidents. We need to learn from them when we can, and make improvements when we can. Not every death is a gotcha! moment for liberalism.
