Say It Ain't So!!!

I am actually looking forward to doing some ice fishing this winter!!! Its true!! My season was so dismal I need a fix and this might be just what I need! I have the gear so might as well use it! All my exterior work on the house will be done this coming weekend for the winter (that is what had my season all bolluxed up) so I am looking forward to getting out on a slab of frozen pond and clearing my head!! Bring it on!!!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

Question SO .....Larry

what will float your Boat... just curious
chasing after tilts when flags go up

sitting next to a HOT grill with hot coffee in a thermos
smelling a thick steak sizzling on the BBQ

or wrestling with pike on a mini ice fishin rod
perch filets.... catching trout? what?

And substituting the coffee for something a little stronger. Or adding to the coffee.

Larry, I'm with you on the ice fishing thing this year. I haven't done it since I was a kid but am looking forward to it this year. But I'm not in a rush for the ice just yet. I'm still hoping to make a few trips for bass in the next couple weeks before putting the saltwater stuff away.

Arrow back from Comet

it was windy towards the shore...there
and leaves were floating fouling and attempts to troll
as one boater /troller told me...

so my last minute decision to go Boatless was a good call
also because i pulled a groin muscle moving a couch.

my waders didn't leak... but it's a 100 dollar fine there

the old timer told me when ice fishing @ comet pond that you have to use the tip ups
with the large spools because the salmon run so BIG /////
they'll spool ya easy on the smaller reeled set ups.

$100 fine for leaky waders? I believe it's only about $50 in Rhode Island.

What do you think the Game Wardens on Winni would have to say about this method?

Skinny water, sand bars, and trolling motors ...what could be better?
