Tough to believe they've been around for 30 years. I remember at one time they were the "other" jam band for many, including myself. Was reading a recent interview with Trey and he feels they are at the top of their game in 2013. After seeing them on their last two tours its tough to argue:
It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole
Where all the fish is blind
Gosh that makes me feel old. Wow. Many a good time at shows for many years but given my two children at home I haven't found the time for the last couple tours, this makes me really want to try to get to one. Didn't start seeing them until '94 so missed a lot of early magic and even now miss some of the gimic / just a bunch of dorks at a show fun times but can't argue the evolution of the tunes. Nice I missed em this summer. Went to the tour opener last year at the DCU it was an awesome show. One of my favorites in a long time.
I saw them for the first time in 91 at the Worcester Auditorium, they did New Years there until they outgrew it. I was 16 didn't miss another NYE show until 96. I hate MSG too many bad experiences. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device
