Ben Carson and Immigration-

Was reading up on Ben Carson's Immigration policy. Sounds reasonable to me.

#1 Seal the border, it's doable.
We have the ability to do it, the problem is not having the Political will.

#2 Once it's sealed crack down on those who hire illegals.

#3 Then deal with the ones that are here. Anyone who has over stayed their visa is breaking the law and should be treated as criminals. If their country won't take them back, then we issue 10 less visas for each one they won't take.

#4 In terms of others they can apply to be Guest Workers , that would not
be able collect benefits, can buy their own Health Care, would have no right to
vote and it won't make them citizens.

5 Illegal immigrants will not get the opportunity to apply for Guest Worker Program.


Hillary wouldn't be able to throw in her "BOXCAR" remark either.
How low can that woman go?

Much of the Great Wall Of China was built before the year 0 A.D. If they could do it then, we should be able to do it now, don't you think?

I do find it interesting that his strategy is nearly exactly what you do to rid your house of rats.

Any politician or would be politician who wants to discuss immigration reform without consideration for the human aspects is DOA.

Seems to be a reasonable approach to a difficult problem. Controlling the border is the first step, without that, everything else is meaningless.

Inviting the ones who have not or are not breaking the law into
a Guest Worker Program sounds pretty human to me.

We are a country of law and order and the one's breaking the law need
to be held responsible..

The First order of The Commander in Chief is to keep
the citizens of our country safe. As Jim inferred, 9/11 has changed
what used to be safe, and a new need for different protections now.

I wonder how much we would need "the wall" if there were no incentives to come here. I think if we just follow Obama's plan and make America so screwed up, the immigrants will go somewhere else...

True that if Obama saw his vision through, eventually Mexico would be complaining about all the Americans fleeing south.

We also need the wall to help keep terrorists out. The Israelis will tell you that it works. I also noticed Obama hasn't proposed to remove the fence that goes around the White House.

With what is happening with the refugees fleeing to EU is one more
reason to build the wall and strengthen our borders.
A lot of bad guys will be mixed in and our immigration policy needs
to be revamped to be sure they don't make it over here.

We gotta nuff of problems within.
