BS Gas Prices!
I think the rising price of fuel is all due to media caused panic and speculation!!! There are several countries that produce oil (12 I believe I heard) so why is it that because there are issues in Libya that there is widespread price increases, gouging and panic??? There is no shortage to speak of.....any of the other oil producing nations are still selling oil last I heard???? This is all such BULL#^&#^&#^&#^&!!! Just like when there were Hurricanes in the gulf a few years ago and the drilling rigs had to shut down the prices went through the roof???? This happens anytime there is a hurricane in the gulf and yet we have not seen a price increase attributed to this happening in a few years now??? I have always found it curious.....just as curious as I have always found it when the gas prices seem to spike prior to a big holiday/weekend and then drop back down immediately afterwards!!!!! Its all due to price gouging opportunist scumbags.....and our government does nothing about it!!!
This has been a "BigFish Financial Minute" and we thank you for watching today!

The prices are controlled by the speculation of the people with the most money. Those who gamble millions or billions every day on whether the price will go up. OF COURSE IT WILL GO UP THAT'S HOW THEY GOT THE MOST MONEY!!!! ANd they keep that money, no loans, no fair pricing. Just paid $3.55 for reg unleaded.
Pumped $50 in the tank of my V10 ford superdudy, was on empty now reads 1/3.
Won't be driving that truck much now that the snow is done.
Maybe I'll give my 4cyl Ranger a good tune soon.

I haven't seen diesel less than $4.00
Speaking of diesel.
Cheaper to refine than gas but about 50cents more. That makes a lot of sense !
Every truck moving goods around the country runs on diesel !

BS Gas Prices
I don't live in Norway and don't care what they pay for gas, but ,I do take issue with my President placing a 7 year moratorium on domestic oil exploration while he offers our help and technology to Brazil in their efforts to extract undersea oil deposits safely; Then, assures them that we will be good "customers" down the road when their oil becomes available.I don't know about you but sending US dollars to Brazil for the same product that he will not allow us to extract doesn't sound like a great idea to me but I must just be ignorant to the need for a global redistribution of wealth.

First of all our president should not have the power to control the oil industry or any other business. The president should not be able to say we will prosecute this law and not that one. That is up to us, the legislatures, and the courts.
The democrats for years have been subsidising the oil industry and the republicans have introduced bills in congress to stop the subsidies completely. The stick it up our breezers and we reward them for doing so.

there should be more diesel use in this country and we should be using bio recycling to make fuel. I've looked everywhere and there is only one plant, in Newport, that sells bio diesel.
70-80 pct of the world runs on diesel
90pct of our logistics transport in the US runs on it.
And ethanol is silly and raises food prices world wide.
Its all a circular ripoff

There is NO SUPPLY PROBLEM!!! Libya is only 3% and others have more than made up for it. The price goes up because it is based on wall street speculation...the net result is oil companies profit MORE. It is not their fault, but they reap the rewards and the common man pays for it.
I think fuel prices should (within reason) be controlled by the government, not wall street hedge funds looking to trade it. Mainly because some drastic move will effect the entire general economy.
Biodiesel takes a lot more energy to make (you don't just pump it out of the earth) so don't expect any bargain...most times it is .50-100 more than regular diesel. What kills me is that bio-diesel price moves with natural diesel which makes no sense since it is not connected to any political agenda.
It's a rigged game and the common man will pay the piper.

newportbiodiesel has been selling their product at 3.20 a gallon for the last 2 years.
veggie oil to diesel is a dewatering and catalytic conversion. the cost is in the collection , and they run their rings on their own juice.
several million gallons of veg oil go to landfills every year, where's the energy cost?
