Back from the Backside!

SKUNKED!!!
I fished a couple Backside beaches solo on Wednesday night w/out so much as a bump....Me and "Gadabout"
fished the Race for about three hours Thursday afternoon before high and did not see a thing, a few birds working bait here and there but nobody was doing anything related to unhooking fish!
Fished a few of the Backside beaches Thursday night and had a fabulous view of the Northern Lights...IT WAS AWESOME!!!
Thank God for that because the rest of the night was uneventful! Water was a little too big for my taste, and the backside beaches have really flattened out the past two weeks. All the nice holes are filled in! Heard a few others did not have any luck either on the early drop...we fished the late drop! Water was pretty clean though. A couple sharpies say there are still some nice fish to be had but I think I have made my last night run to the Backside for this season! Some have said that this season was not that great and I must agree, I think the weather wreaked havoc on it. Had some fun though...caught some nice fish, now time to rest and get ready for next season! Gonna teach myself to be a "Plug Ho"! Gonna start turning a few in the next couple weeks.
