Marblehead, MA Area
I haven't gotten a chance to get out since two weekends ago because of work and was just wondering if anyone could tell me if the fishing is still good in the Marblehead area since I get to go out this weekend. Did well last time I was there and that's when I met a guy who suggested checking out this site. Any info would be appreciated as I'm trying to decide if I should fish there or if I have to head south this weekend. Thanks.

I fished Marblehead last night without any action. I couldn't even hook a mackeral!!!!! Oh well, I'll be out again tonight. I have heard reports of little rats up and down the coast line.

Clog,
That would've been me, but where were we fishing/talk? I haven't gotten much time in over the past two weeks either, and if ric is not finding them, that's not good, 'cause he covers some territory around here. (and he'll tell you if nothing is happening, not neccessarily the case when he's finding large ) Can't blame him.
Are you part of that crew from Wakefield? Or the guy I cut the treble out of his palm maybe? Antway enjoy the site, lots of info, lots of characters 'round here.

I'm one of the Wakefield guys. I'll probably end up trying this weekend anyway, it'll be good just to get out.

well, i fished marblehead this afternoon around sunset. there were tons of baitfish, probably peanut bunker. not too much going on except birds working the bait.....when baitfish started jumping around. Got me all excited, thinking a school of stripes just came in...but NOPE. School of mackeral instead....landed three and still had some fun.

Clogston29 - please post how you make out. I'm thinking of heading down this weekend. I was down last week with my son, and all we found was birds gettin' fat. We found a cove that was loaded with small peanut bunker, and I thought I'd get my son some fish - but he didn't hook any thing but peanut bunker. Hey - I quess I did get him some fish - but not the kind he was hoping to catch.
TL,
Dave

All the reports I'm getting aren't making me too optimistic but I'm still gonna give it a try on Sat. night and early Sunday morning. Hopefully something will happen as it'll probably be the last time I get out this year, unless I can't stand it and have to give surf fishing for cod a try this winter. I'll post how I do on Monday morning.
