Weakfish/Squeateague

I caught quite a few back in the 70's and 80's but alas, they no longer appear where I used to get them (Wareham River/Weweantic River) . Nice stripers still there though. Anyone else miss catching sea trout?

I've seen them caught in the Canal farther to the east of where you took that picture.

Years back they could be caught at Mass Maritime. I remember seeing them between the ship and the dock.

In the 70s we used to bail them off the north bar of Block island, fill a 128 cooler in a tide. Nothing like that nowadays, but there are still a few around.

Talking DINNER!

Yum, I love a good broiled weakfish. Boy are they dumb critters, even I can catch 'em.
