a Cape Sams

threse a boat Im drooling over in the want ad.
I bet its gone by now but it was a 20' Shamrock
I like the inboard and I like those boats.
the only thing that worrys me is in the rips with an inboard .
side ways, you know how they handle.
But the price was good and it had a 250 in it.

I had a 20' Shamrock the first year I was out here....302 ford straight inboard with keel drive....Man what a sweet little rig that was. Due to the hull design the boat was very *wet* with alot of spray but it was a great first boat and sometimes I do miss her.

I paid 6k for my shamrock 9 years ago....Took half a summer to get it ocean ready since the guy who owned it died while rebuilding it!
Be careful with older boats.....Aluminum tanks last between 10 and 20 years and usually fail right between there. The shamrock had two 20 gallong alum tanks, one on each side and mine leaked and oh what a bitch to get em out since they were foamed in.
Tell Grump Sams if he dont call me soon im gonna come lookin for him....

Those 20' Shamrocks go for the tune of around 40 sumptin K new I believe....They are not cheap boats.....There is a dealership in Harwich if you want to go look at them....

I would have loved to buy a 20' shamrock for my first boat but the money was too much for me so I ended up with a 23' Winner walkaround with a hardtop for 11 grand. The shamrock would still be with me had I been able to buy one then.

what happen to the 25 hp on a caroline skiff, plugho?
