question for Krispy:

when using a spinning rod, is the reel supposed to be on the top or bottom?

also, can i use a conventional reel on a spinning rod and vice-versa?

Mr. Krispy,

Can you tell me what knots to tie. I can't seem to keep my hook on the line. Even when I put bait on there it just seems to fall right off.

I have asked Notaro, Bassman and even went right to the top and asked the Lord himself (or herself depending on the company I am keeping. Oh but that's a whole other story).

Help me please

Mr Krispy, if I tie four 1/2 opunce lead lures with the furry white stuff alternating between mona, flurah, and tin leader, will it cast as well AS a bigg one?

How do you backwind?

If we were in the soon to be added "All Krispy, All the Time Forum", I would answer your Q's as follows:
Quote:

God Damn it Toby How many times I gotta tell you, the reel goes on the bottom. I dont care if your lefty, deal with it like all those other weirdo left-handed freaks

Quote:

Only boat people use conventional, cuz they can hold a beer in holder and put the rod in the other. You dont wanna be a boat person do ya?

First off, in the "All Krispy Forum", protocol would state that I answer one question first, before another is asked of me. And your way out of order Beachwalker!!
No response for you!!!!!!

Yes, all line must go on backwards, as its the nature of the reel. Except Van Staals, line is gently applied to the reel, with rose petals between every wrap and your are served a chocolate souffle after every cast. But only with upkeep of the warranty.
Is this a trick question from you Mass guys, I know your talking behind my back!!! Its a conspiracy

John, after many years in the surf, Ive found its best not to use leaders. Just slide the the eye of one Bucktail onto the hook of the next. This will allow it to look like a school of bait.
Otherwise I would just throw them into the surf and see what chokes on it, though Im not sure how far you would get it
Your from MA to right

Krispy...

First of all, how much line should I have between my popper and the bobber? Also, should I put chunks of mackeral on both hooks on the popper or just one?

Thanks in advance.

I have a question on tides...

When they say... "the tides' coming in"...where exactly does it go? I watch as the waves brake against the shoreline and the sand just absorbs it right up. I spent countless hours with Tattoo and Goose digging into the beach..trying to find an answer. We couldn't figure out something...If the sand keeps absorbing the water, how does the water level get higher? Why doesn't the sand and the earth keep absorbing the tide keeping it at a level state?

I'm so glad there's going to be an "Ask Krispy Forum"!!

...it finally happened, there are no more secret spots

Geez thats a dumb question Bloo As the earth spins, it sloshes one soggy end to the other, sorta like a washing machine. Ya see, the earth is like a Twinkie, if you ball it up and dunk it in milk, then lay it on the table it all drains out one end. Simple science Keep digging

Oh Great One Mr. Krispy critter, I have a question that needs answering also.

Whe I go gigging for stripers at night the bass seem to shy away from the light and swim away That baffles me and is very frustrating since I can't gig me no bass, can't seem to sneak up on them. How do you do it? Do I need a bigger more powerful light? The one I have is 15 million candlepower, maybe I should go for the 3 billion candlepower yes, I'm confused.
thank you in advance

Don, this is so basic, Im almost disgusted with myself to explain it to you. Apply a 3 oz pyramid sinker 3/4 of the way up your 3" leader and attach with superglue to the main line. This will allow proper underwater popping.
Next I recomend, to save yourself from any more embarassment, you rid yourself of any evidence that you've ever even seen the surf, leave the family behind and move out to Indiana as soon as possible.
