AYC Cheap- BAD NEWS

Guys... I just got my price and when he told me that his price would be better than anywhere else I don't know where he was thinking about... perhaps Austarlia. But $1.15 per foot is, well frankly it sucks. So I'm sorry I got you guys all excited or whatever.. I'm going to try and find another source where I can get a volume discount and if I do I will let you know after I have a price next time.

I've got a source that has 3 feet and 6 feet long balisters (finished 2x2 which means 1 1/2 x 1 1/2) at 0.80/foot or $2.40 for the 3 feet or $4.80 for 6 feet. They also have rough 2x4 at $2.67LF. An 8 foot long 2x4 would cost $21.36. You just rip the rough 2x4 and you have a true 2x2 to start turning. If you can get better pricing than that let me know.

check out Attleboro/Rehobeth building supply on rt 118 in attleboro. $6 for a finished 2x2x6, and they got plenty. It is right by LaSallette Shrine.
chris

Is it good, or is it Sofa King good?

Ok, I'll kae it simple and quick.

I process and sell lumber for a living. $1.15 p/ft(bdft ?) DOESN'T suck.

AYC ain't free. But when you have overage, sometimes it is.

If I have learned one thing from people looking for "PIECES !" of lumber is they nickel and dime you. NO concept of what it took to get that piece of lumber 3,500 miles to your precious hand.

You guys crack me up sometimes.....

Dave is talking lineal ft. not board foot. $1.15 is expensive when the same thing can be had for 98 cents a lineal ft. Oh and if we crack you up why do you read this forum....

Bwalker - I am trying to buy a lot of it at once 1500 lin ft + so that everyone that wants to can get in on it and hopefully we can get a volume discount. My best price so far is $0.67 per LINEAR Ft. BUt I am still searching.

Don't buy it unless you see it first.

I'll still work on it from my end.
