Why the 4 letter search minimum?

Just a question and suggestion, why is there a 4 letter minimum on the search feature? There are many important keywords under 4 letters....bass, cod, jig, rod, eel to name a few off the top of my head.....not complaining, but can this be changed or is it vbulletin that does this on all there forums?

Ummm......ya better count your fingers again on the spelling of bass. My finger count shows four.

Not if you count unique letters, the two S's are the same.

If I go to three letters my DB will grow by 25% in size - thats why...
