Redlite--just got rid of my last load. They were mostly monsters, 20" or so. Sold em' right before Christmas.
Good luck with the chew. Is tonight going to be your last? If it is then you'll go through a full tin. "One more. For old times sake."
Next year I'II keep the eels card up for a bit longer.
Happy New year guys.

Today is "my last day" of chew. Think I'm just gonna swallow a whole tin, that way the thought of doing it ever again will make me so noxious I don't wanna do it anymore. 9 years of abusin my gums. Can't wait, especially with how expensive it is gettin to be. I went into a store the other day and they wanted almost 8 buckaroos for one. I laughed in their face. I was better off without it. Shouldn't be too tough until I start fishin again, drivin 2 hours each way with zero sleep to keep me awake for days on end. Especially since 2 of my good fishin buds chew too, and they ain't never gonna stop.
But Happy New Year to everyone. Tomorrow we can all start on those new years resolutions.....fish more....catch more......tick off the woman some more fishin'.......catch the fifty........And ya'll only got about 7 more hours to make a last ditch effort to follow through on last years' resloutions......................

red---when the urge to dip hits ya, go to a drug store and pick up some nicotine gum. It'll kill the urge without rotting your gums. Go to a place that sells a house brand as well as Nicorette. You'll save about $15 on a 108 pack.

Not sure if the spelling is correct. Card up = penned up. Or, the eels we keep in cages that we have on the bottom.

I trap eels from May through November. Car em' up for my own use, and use them as barter with a couple of tackle stores in the area. I pot green crabs too, and do the same thing with them.
I've got the bait.
It's funny how little eeling I did this year. Mostly gave them away, and made a little Christmas money selling the bigs.

Thats cool. I've been playing with the idea of trying it next season in the N river. Who knows though.... It might be too much work.

I fish about 15 traps. It's easy for me because I work on the pond.
The key to eeling is the bait that you use and the times that you set the gear. I'II talk to you about the ins-and-outs of eeling, but don't want to spill the beans here.
