going thru my job loss and seeing that others are still unemployed

Would anyone that is currently unemployed like to post their skills here in case someone else has work available? Would you guys that have resumes be interested in posting them?

Odds are it might not do any good but if someone working at one place heard his employer was looking for the kind of help that one of our unemployed could do - that would be huge....

Just a thought... Also open to other suggestions...

Not unemployed yet, but may be soon (through my doing or otherwise). Got resumes flying all over monster, doesn't seem to do the trick.
John, you let me post, I post silly.
Thanks,
Rick

John,
FWIW, I sent your resume to our HR people, just in case there was something I wasn't aware of. I'd be glad to do the same for anyone else that the company might have a spot for.

I'd be glad to forward a resume for anyone looking, but you'd have to be interested in the Central NJ area. I work in satellite communications my wife is down the street at a company that deals with stock portfolios for other companies. We don't get anything for referrals like come places, but it's a nice, easy thing to do for someone else (and lord knows I would really like having a fellow fisherman in the company)
John maybe another idea is anyone interested in helping out someone else, post something short about their company and where it is located (maybe a URL to a website if there is one) and let people contact them "off line". It doesn't hurt if someone has a target area they want to move to, to forward a resume to someone in that area even if there's no jobs currently. I think companies sometimes put more weight on a resume for someone else coming from an employee. It speaks some for that person's character and abilities.

Question

Holler if anyone needs an equity analyst to work for a hedge fund. Long/short, market neutral, event-driven, relative value, momentum, and value situations. I flyfish, chunk, jig, plug, eel and liveline, but I don't mooch or noodle. Will clean reels for plugs.

Networking

Networking works!!! It helped me land my present job and the offer came out of the blue .I didn't know the company existed but friends at another company knew I had experience with the raw materials and matched us up and here I am. I was also able to return the Karma A guy I knew for years as scoutmasters was laid offlast spring- textile industry- which is a almost dead industry in SE Mass. He operated a rotory screen press which is what we print our flexible circuits with approched me at scout camp and told his situation , I almost fell over I had been advertising for weeks with no bites. I hired him on the spot. And he has worked out great.
NO joke take John up on his offer you never know.
Best of luck guys I've been there myself.
