lime green needles

After sitting in on a recent presentation it seems that lime green needles where the "go to" color. I've throwin mine with little or no success. Seems the yellows and blues and blacks and any thing in between are the most used today.

Is lime green still as deadly as it was in the 80's or is it that I've haven't used it in the right situation?

Never fished in the 80s but a lime green needle was a hot color for me in south county rhode island this year. Some of my best nights under the new and full moons came with this color needle.

That color is a very good color.
I actually have to make some for My self when the weather warms up.
They will be in different Hue's and shades

The Super Strike needle in lime green in the smaller size is killer.
I had a stash of old translucent green super strike lures.
They were My best getter and I lost all of them.
Dont rule out the Gibbs green and habs green needles

Slip and I was fishing outer beaches and at one time I couldnt keep green in My bag. ( rustolium Forest green )

dont rule out a Puke Yellow and green back, I ran out of those to...
see how to forum to learn how to work a needle.

Yes. That color is still very hot.
Lime green needles still produce, particularly on the Block last season, and and the last ten before that too.
Lime green Stubbies and 7" Superstrikes kick butt.

Goose,
Lime green needlefish are still the first needle out of my bag and have been since they first appeared. I have an entire chapter in my book(Snowstorm Blitz) dedicated to the history of needlefish development and color preference amongst anglers. Confidence is the single biggest factor in why different anglers used different patterns (remember my Mackerel colored needlefish story the other night?) Anyway, I have many other plugs painted lime green and they all work for me.

i don't think that i have too much in the lime green color scheme, but chartreuse over white has served me very well at first light!

Bass,
The book is not out. I should have mentioned it was my "proposed book." It is still waiting for a publisher. Sorry for the confusion.
