A good reel
Teton Tioga. About $200.00, maybe less at Natick Outdoor Store.
Bulletproof. Fully sealed drag assembly. Large arbor and regular spools are interchangeable on the same reel.

Teton reel material
Solid stock aluminum, then anodized. Full frame construction. In my experience, that means you can beat the chit out of it and it will come back looking for more...
I have several small 3/4's and a big 11/12 with a conventional spool on it. 10 weight line and 400 yards of 30 lb. gelspun backing. One of the 3/4's is set up with a 25' 5 wgt shooting head, 50' of 50 lb. flat running mono and 200 yards of backing. I use that on a 7' 3 wgt Heritage rod.

Why $200 for a reel?
Now this is just me,$100 for a Cortland 140d buy on line for 20%,off $80 take savings and buy extra-spool,then take other $100 and buy 2 lines.
I have fished the Cortland 140D for the last 12 years and have had no problems with them.

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.
1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!
It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.
