Best Superbowl Commercial?
For me, best commercial was the Ford GT that opened the bowl - anyone got an extra $130K? The original GT40 from the late 60s was and is still my favorite car but with those going for well over 1 mil, a 2005 GT would be OK too
After that - the Tostitos Ad and the Ternially Nagged Ref

I second RockLobsta......that was great, even though i wouldn't touch BudLite with a 50 foot pole.....
Some others were good too, but WAY too many commercials for movies.................

Maybe it's me... I thought the commercials on the most part...
Stunk!...
They certainly haven't been as good as previous years!
The half time show as well, was the worst I have seen!!!
Was it for those who were 12 and under?...
Perhaps I need to move on to the grumpy old farts board!

The best was the Ref getting screamed at by the Coaches...then the announcers wondered where you go for training like that and it shows him at home with his Wife Screaming in his ear....
I didn't think anything else came close to topping that one

For the most part, I thought the commercials were not that great. The one I enjoyed the most was the Willie Nelson - HR Block.
Thats was funny

John,
Have any further detail on the new Ford GT? I don't usually like fords, except for the GT-40, but that one bears some looking into.

You read my mind Bliz...as far as the best commercial, I would agree with JohnR! The GT Ford commercial made me wish I had $100,000 to buy one....that is if I could fit my frame in the thing. Otherwise, I found the commercials lacking any creativity whatsoever. Just a bunch of stupid drivel, as if the team who conjured up these "creative" commercials were stoned and drunk and just giggling at anything saying..."yeah... thats funny....that would make a great commercial"! Hiccup...hiccup... Worst batch of superbowl commercials I have ever seen, the only one of note as far as I am concerned was the Pepsi/Jimi Hendrix commercial....anyone see that one? Just my opinion.....as usual!

Bingo Bliz....
The dumbing down of America hit it right on the head.....and people are eating it up......I like the stupid jokes as much as anyone else, but in its own place....it sure is cheapening a great event like the Superbowl!

It's not just there... it's everywhere!
For example... Try watching today's SNL!!!
It's ridiculous! ...
Maybe We're getting further out of touch with today's reality...
I can't see how the younger generations don't find this just as stupid as some of us do!...

our grandparents said it about our parents generation , our parents said it about our generation and now some of us are saying it about the next generation . "I just dont understand today's youth" .
as far as the commercials I thought a few were good . the monkey making a move on the lady on the couch , the horse farting were 2 that made me laugh .

umm Bigfish ?
it is marketing....
Sleazy, lying sack a shiite, fantasy land, SAY AND SHOW ANYTHING TO MAKE YOU PAY ATTENTION, marketing.
Mute button, mental masturbation, piss break, bubbler. There are a myriad of choices available whilst challenged with such a hurdle.
it bothers the crap out of me too.
it's their world
