Building sequence question

I'm interested in getting peoples thoughts on when they do their thru wiring in relation to applying epoxy. It would seem that final thru wiring is best dne after the finish hard coat of epoxy, so that it protects the paint finish. Is that the sequence?

After thru wiring. No trouble damaging paint unless your round nose pliers slip.
