Herring.....coming up the river

In the Brockton Emptyprise newspaper today on page two under news notes a reporter clearly and unequivicoly stated that herring were spotted in Oliver Mill Park at 11 a.m. in Middleborough by volunteer observers, Mark Brochu and David Lemmo. Mark and David said that their were about 30 traveling up the Nemasket River on their way to Wareham Street.

Who kisses the first bass of the season or of the day when they fish? I can taste that first stripedbass on my lips sitting here at the computor.

Gonna go check out the run today. I saw a graph that showed the herring numbers have increased in amazing number sence the early 90's at the run.
