MANNS STRETCH LURES

Have you seen these? I have been thinking of picking up a few for trolling deep around the islands with. Some of them are pretty big 7, 11, and even 14". The amazing thing to me is they have a clear plastic lip. Embedded in this lip is an eye to connect to the snap. There does not seem to be a thru wire. The eye is a like a figure 8 shape and the lower part of the 8 is in the plastic. This is supposedly made for big fish. Will this hold? I don't like the looks of it but I may give one a try to check it out. Any thoughts? If you have not seen them on the shelf...look closely at them next time.

We have trolled them with braid in Long Island Sound. They will reach the depth they advertise without lead core or wire line. We have been hitting the tops of 25 and 30 foot humps with them. We seem to catch more blues than bass when trolling, but have not had one break yet.

Thumbs up

Had success the past 2 seasons with these, mostly with blues. These things have been hammered by huge bluefish and some bass and have held up perfectly

the most uncommon thing you can possess,.................. is.............. common sense!

Mr. Sandman,
Been using them for the past few seasons with success. Caught many bass up to 22# on the Stretch 25. With braid, those 25's will dive to 30 feet very easily. Have even caught cod and fluke with them!
