Question How Many Plugs......

do you guys turn before you begin sealing, priming, painting etc.? I am thinking once I have about 20 bodies ready to go, some needles, some pencils, etc., then I will begin sealing them etc. Just seams this would be the way to go if I have to pull out all the stuff to do it, might as well be loaded for bear!

Your thoughts.....

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

I turn 8-10 at a time, and will have them finished in a week. it breaks up the monotony of repetition. spin and drill and weight ten plugs, prime the next nite, paint the next nite, scratch coat the next nite, wire and lip the next nite, envirotex the next nite.
I think I'm about done with the big batches for the season, lately I've been doing 4 or 5 at a shot and finishing up quicker.

Is it good, or is it Sofa King good?

My last batch I did about 24 at the same time. Granted 1/2 were from bought blanks, but the logistics of sealing and painting were quite a lot for my space. I'd say 10 would allow me to keep quality up.

BF, i did it like you.I turned 18 plugs, then sealed ,painted and epoxied.Being they were my first, i figiured by concentrating on one step at a time i would learn each step and get it down from my mistakes. Also i was able to ask questions while i had things fresh in my mind on that step. All the steps took alot longer then i thought!
The Killa is ya see em half done and it seems you'll never see them finished. It's worth the wait! They will look great!
