anyone interested in a "boston boater's" private newsgroup?
my wife will put it together on yahoo.
this will be a "private forum", for "boston boat fishermen"
not on a website, like this fine one, where we can post honest{well close to honest}fishing reports, bait stats, post pictures, etc....
you will need an e-invite, from me, and a password to log on.
i'd like to set up a forum where boat fishermen can talk openly about fishing reports without "the world" knowing about it.
any interest?
you can pm me or e-mail me at thefishingfreak@rcn.com
mike

I'd be interested in this newsgroup. I will pm you my email address.
I always thought the reports would be a good place to help our group track fish movements, what type of water is producing, etc. Just too many people and boats out there.
I went pretty generic and vague last season. But probably still revealed more than I should.
A more private setting sounds good.

Guys - not trying to rain on TFF's parade but if you want a private boat forum, I would consider a private one here. Basically viewable by those that opt in initially and then by invite based on you folks. Besides, unlike Yahoo, you don't get put on e-mail lists thru here....

Uh ohhhh!!! I get enough spam already!
Any of you have Cox for an ISP subscribe to their new spam blocking. It works great! It cut me down from 200-300 spams a day to just a couple.

no.......
you wont get "spammed" from yahoo......
when you set up your profile just uncheck the box that says "send me e-mails regarding......."
and uncheck the box that says "use yahoo as my e-mail"
i have another group set up for members of my marina without any problems.

Mike:
Your original intent was a Boston boaters/fishing forum.
Will this new forum be for everyone?
