Actually, that reminds me of a story about Mr. Kav. (Sorry Dave! ). He wanted to go shark fishing a few years ago and was looking for some blood (pig or chicken) to use as chum. I suggested that he go to the poultry farm near work up here in Needham and see if they had any. So we went over, and, no, they didn't have any blood, but they could sell him a live chicken for $3.00. He momentarily thought about it - livelining chickens for shark!!!!! :O

Oh god that's hilarious. I was dying when I saw that on FFSW. I'm dying now.
I used bait when I was fishing for gulls. I can see another war between who's better, bait, fly or lure guys when trying to tackle birds.
BTW, I didn't use a hook. Just so no one gets mad and I tried to let the bird have the bait as a reward.

A guy used to have an ad in the LIF selling beef blood by the gallon for sharkers.
Wonder if it worked?

Hey John, just for the record I did not purchase the chicken for food or livelining. I couldn't believe how easy it would have been to get a live chicken. I have heard of people livelining them but I didn't have the heart to do it.

Hehehehe... Mr Kav - live linning chickens, hehehehe.... Really, I didn't think you would have done that but it's still a funny story (unless PETA reads it)...
