Thanks John. I'm dying from jet lag. i never had it this bad before. Even my trip to Korea I really had none.
Anyway , I ask the jig question cause lots of time this time of year the jigging is tough cause the fish want only herring. Skin jigs , used inside out and tied short will often do the jib when herring are around. Also 7 inch finSfish work sometimes this early too.

Tough morning today. Saw/talked to a dozen guys fishing this am - NADA. Not even a bump. All were fishing East of the run all the way to Pip's on an East current at sunup.
No worries though. Things improve with every current change.

My brother and I stopped by the run Sunday morning after fishing another area on the Canal. All at the run were fishing herring and we saw a couple of hook ups, biggest was 40".
We were tossing jigs, hopkins, kastmasters with tails and danny's but no luck. Hopefully things will heat up this week/weekend. Seems to be doing just that everywhere else.
