I wish I had new to show
I'm still testing the first 25 or so I made this winter. So far so good. That is to say that the clear has not lifted, the wood has not split and everything swims well.
I didn't want to waste more wood/energy till I knew I was doing it right. Like I said "so far, so good".
As soon as the heat of the summer sets in and the fish develop lockjaw I'll be looking into my first batch of Pencils, needles and darters for the fall.
Tell you this though...so far I just can't get enough of watching my Pikies swim! (thanks again Jigman! )

If the Surf Howdy isn't going to BM, he'll be MENTAL.
Bernzy, do you fog over those dots on the top one to get that effect, thin the paint, or just use a light touch on the airbrush? Inquiring minds want to know.

Bernzy,
That's for the info. I think I got the brush picked out that I want (Iwata). Now I just got to get on the ball and pick out some colors and place the order. Any suggestions for a good starter set of colors?

You can start with basic colors. Black, yellow, red, green, blue, purple and white. I use pearl or irridescent colors when possible.
Also, get more pearl white than the other colors as you will use more of it on plug bodies and you can mix it with other colors to get different tints and shades.
